•BIOGRAPHY•
Un. Antoinette was the first of the children to pick up their father's graphite pencils and start sketching. It was a way to connect with her father. It was actually the only way to connect to him. They have art and a slight touch of alcoholism to bring them together. Antoinette likes to believe she's more of her father's daughter than her mothers.
Deux. For most of her life, all Antoinette wanted to have pets. Since she moves around so much, the most she ever gets is a pet fish. Something that is easy to move or dies quickly. Other than that, it's highly unlikely that Antoinette could actually take care of another living thing.
Trois. Though it's a very rare sight, Antoinette is actually pretty good at cooking. Her oldest sister taught her to cook, but Antoinette would rather pick something up or live off of canned food than actually cook a meal. If she's on a deadline, it's lucky if she'll eat anything more than pancakes.
Quatre. Antoinette will admit to knowing French and English. In all actuality, she has learned several languages throughout her travels as well as when she was younger and in school. She is fluent in Italian, Spanish and Finnish. She can understand a few others as well, but not speak them.
Cinq. There's a slight chance that Antoinette doesn't know how to feel love. She doesn't believe her family ever really loved her. What she does feel is joy. Real joy. Joy of being near someone, or the joy she feels about a new work of art. Love? She'll believe it when she sees it.
Six. The fact the government is ruling so much, Antoinette is terrified. She has dual citizenship, she hasn't been in any trouble that she hasn't been able to wiggle out of, and her family isn't out to marry her off. No, the government is out to do that. At the same time, she isn't too terrified. She's already done a terrible job of picking out partners, maybe it's someone else’s turn.
Sept. Antoinette enjoys gardening. It's another reason she enjoys her little spot in Texas. She can actually do whatever gardening she wants to do.
•PERSONALITY & APPEARANCE•
Standing at 5'7", Antoinette doesn't dare come close to the tallness of any model. Much to her mother’s disapproval. Instead, she has sultry curves and a love for heels to help her reach a comfortable height of close to 5'11". Nette enjoys being taller than mostly everyone in a room. It's a power thing that she learned from her mother. Perhaps the only lesson that Nette ever took from her and actually agreed with.
Antoinette has her father's features more than her mother and older sister. Her darker hair stands out against the almost all blonde family. Her father passed bright blue eyes down to her, along with more pale features than the sun-kissed skin the other women in her family have. It was almost as if her genes knew that she would be the black-sheep of her family. Her sense of style can range from classic, while she's in meeting or working with a client. All the way to incredibly alternative. Black leather, pencil skirts, button down silk shirts, mini-skirts, sundresses and short dresses. Whatever type of clothing a person can think of, Antoinette has it.
Several tattoos are scattered across her body. Roses, diamonds, skulls and spider webs - a Sailor Jerry-esque dream that a tattoo artist she had been dating designed especially for her. Small scars can be found marring almost perfect skin. Clumsiness and bad fights seem to tell their tale.
Nette is cold. It's the best way to describe her personality type. She doesn't trust easily, possibly from being by herself most of the time. Nette doesn't want to be that way, but with the amount of family issues, it's easy to understand. She can be calculating and will only get into a situation she knows she can get out of. With a weakness for lost causes, she has been hurt enough by boys and friends.
It's obvious that Nette can be incredibly hard headed and questions almost everyone and their actions. Some clients hate her for it, others are thankful.
•HISTORY•
It was a cold and miserable day in Paris, France when Antoinette was born. One of the coldest of the year, and Hell was it a sign of things to come. Regan was a too-soon retired model while Louis was a starving artist who could make any woman swoons with a brooding look and some charming words. They were a match made in dysfunction. It was only a couple of years after Antoinette's birth that the couple decided to split up and start anew with knew people. Probably the best choice the couple had made. Well, other than producing two children.
Neither Regan or Louis made bad parents, they just often made bad choices for their children. Louis would forget to book babysitters during drinking benders while he painted, and Regan would invite random people to her flat for social events. Other than that, the two would often spoil their daughters. That's until they started seeing new people. Antoinette never paid much mind to her parent’s social conquests or step-parents that flooded into her life. Instead, she focused on school and books she would find at the Library or bookstore. It was easier to get lost in great tales than deal with her own life.
Antoinette was a clever child and her desire to better her life only to move away from her parents and their self-destructive behavior only made her more clever and much more driven than any of her other siblings. Apparently most of them enjoyed the spotlight or the money that was just handed over. Antoinette would rather make her own money than use that of her parents. After all, they could guilt trip anyone, including their children to the point of pure annoyance.
When Antoinette finished school, she left home fairly quickly. By then she had already moved back to the United States with her mother and was living in New York. It was the perfect art scene, but Antoinette couldn't deal with the politics. She just wanted to paint, not deal with the drama that came with the galleries and the presumptuous douches that ran that scene. Instead, Antoinette decided to leave and travel around to learn as much as she could about the art world and just about the world in general. For the first six months, she spent the time abroad doing random jobs to pay her way through Europe.
It was nice being back in her country. She spent time in France first, then slowly moved through east than finally south. It was an enlightening experience. One that she needed to grow as a person, and as an artist. It also made her realize that she needed to do more than just paint what she was feeling. When touching back on American soil again, she applied to be a cover artist. Antoinette's first big break was being an assistant to an artist and moving up from there. Slowly, more jobs were given to her. She was still able to travel around and do what she wanted to do.
Finally she landed in a small town in Texas. It was expected or even wanted, but she realized how much work she could get done and how inspired she could be out in the country side. So, she made the small town her home for the moment.
